Isn't it funny how we all crave love but are scared of it as well? I was just reading about this blogger, Irina, on her take about 2nd love and her boyfriend's view on it as well and i can't help but agree even though I know not much about "2nd love" because, love is just love. I don't number which parent I love the most or which child. Call it falling in love again but not 2nd or 3rd. (Again enough with this Rating thing) There's only one type of love and it's just whether you love or you don't.

This thought occurred to me while reading, but why do we as humans all crave love? What is so magical or special about it that we constantly seek for it. What is this "Love" we all claim it to be so, god damn special.

I would say love is elusive in part because it is not just one thing. Love for parents, pets, inanimate object etc. However, all love is a kind a passionate commitment that we nurture and develop, even though it usually arrives in our lives unbidden. That's why it is more than just a powerful feeling. Without the commitment, it is mere infatuation. Without the passion, it is mere dedication. Without nurturing, even the best can wither and die.




Which brings me back to my question, why are we scared of it? Society makes one have these thoughts about finding the "right one" or there are many fishes in the ocean why stick to one? I think sometimes we are so caught up with these expectations or ambitions that we really lose sight of what is real. So what if he/she is not the one? So what if there are other people single out there? Doesn't mean you banish all men/women in your life, doesn't mean you go out and find other partners. It all boils down to are you happy with this person? Does your partner make you a better person, and finally, are you learning from this relationship?

I agree there are a lot of sharks (let's just stick to the fish analogy here) out there, you've been hurt, and when you start dating again, you are so conscious about yourself and your past relationship that you start running. You're running from yourself. You're running from your own nakedness, your own vulnerability, from being swallowed up by something more powerful than you, and losing your sense of ego, losing your sense of control. You're just being unfair towards yourself. #justsaying 

I do not look down or disagree with that fear but I believe, if you truly want to find love, do yourself a favour and stop the complexity of things and just let it flow. You know what love fuels from? Pure virtuous passion, pure intentions, innocence. (not when you're doing the deed of course *nudge nudge wink wink*) Because, there is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment and you just have to deal with it. 



And side note: Some tumblr quotes out there are seriously screwing up both men and women minds, stop believing in them, because even fairy tales have problems. #reality 

What is up with people and ratings? I find that nowadays, people just want to give everything a number to feel better about themselves and it has to stop.

It may be fun and informative to put a number on something but behind it all, it's just an derogatory act. Is one happy about being rated for overall appearance or, being excited about getting shortlisted for this list that rates you if you're best or worst at something? 

Along the way, it just hurts people and the person who started it all does not even know it. 

Enough with the rating games it is not just "out of pure fun" it is a demeaning and selfish act that one may not even know he/she is acting on.

If you want juicy details, dirt and stuff like that, just stick to good ol' plain gossip and make sure there are no hole in the washtub (if y'know what i mean)
